Missouri’s voter-approved Earned Paid Sick Time law (Proposition A) required most employers to begin providing paid sick leave starting May 1, 2025. However, on July 10, 2025, House Bill 567 was signed into law, repealing the statewide paid sick time requirement effective August 28, 2025.

As of August 28, 2025, Missouri employers are no longer mandated by state law to provide earned paid sick time, although many may choose to continue offering paid sick leave as part of their own internal policies or benefit plans.
